Guild Rules

If you are interested in applying to join the Jokers Guild, please make sure you have read our guild rules below, and then go to the forums here and fill in an app. Double check that you have read our rules in full, beacuse as much as we believe in having fun while we game, we value fair play and decency within the guild even more.




Our guild rules can be separated into two distinct categories:

• Game rules - regarding cheating, illegal actions and breaches of the games' End User Licence Agreement (EULA).
  
• Social rules - relating to respect and fair conduct amongst guild members and the wider gaming community.
  
  Break any Game rule and you will immediately be removed from the guild. Break any Social rules and you will be warned, with repeat offenders being asked to leave the guild as well.
  

GAME RULES
NO HACKING - The use of third party software to improve your game play is strictly forbidden.

NO MACROS OR ADD ONS - The use of illegal macros or add ons that are not supported by BIOWARE are not to be used.

NO BUYING GOLD - As a guild we deem buying gold as wrong and unfair, likewise the EULA strictly forbids paying real life currency for in game items. Just like in real life: earn it legitimately, or not at all.



SOCIAL RULES
GUILD TROLLING - Going out of your way to begin arguments, disrespect other guild members, or cause conflict within the guild. None of these actions will be tolerated. Warnings and removal from the guild for serial pests will apply.


CHAT TROLLING - We can all appreciate a joke as long as it isnt taken too far. However, be mindful of what you type into the global chat box. If it is deemed abusive, racist, offensive or seen to be in any way damaging to the reputation of the guild and its members then you may find your own membership being revoked.
Likewise, chat trolling internally to the Jokers guild isnt frowned upon to a degree, as long as it doesnt turn into GUILD TROLLING.


NINJA LOOTING - It should go without saying that decency and respect should be shown to your fellow guild members at all times. Taking or "needing" items in game, for the sole purpose of later sale, and personal gain will not be tolerated. Where ever possible, items which a group of members have earned should be given to the members who require them.


RAIDING/PVP - If you are given a spot in a raid team or PVP team please make sure you have the free time available to attend. If you are unable to be part of the team, please advise whoever is organising the event as soon as you can. Constantly missing or not attending raids/ PVP's which you have committed yourself to, will likewise result in your potential removal from the guild.






JOKERS GUILD APPLICANTS
We require you to have read these guild rules in full, and understand them completely. This section here is to ensure that you have in fact done this, and not simply glanced over them or neglected to read them entirely. If you are a Jokers guild applicant, when filling out your application - as the last thing you write on that application please include the sentence: "I agree to follow the JOKERS Guild Rules in full"

If we do not see this at the bottom of your application, we can only conclude that you have NOT read the rules above in full - and as such we will not approve your request to join JOKERS.


Also, please note that signing up to the forum or putting in an application DOES NOT entitle you to wear JOKERS Guild tags. Those applicants that are successful will be informed as to when they are allowed to add Guild tags.
