New Build or Upgrade Empty
PostSubject: New Build or Upgrade   New Build or Upgrade I_icon_minitimeWed Jun 27, 2012 8:14 am

Hey all!

I need some advice, I currently have an 1100T (Stock) with a 6870 (stock)

I want to upgrade!

Would it be worth spending the extra money to get a new rig with a 3570k with 7970

or just upgrade my GPU.

Will be running CF in the near future.

I know the 3570k destroys the 1100T, but would the extra money spent be worth the performance? will they be noticeable.

Any idea of % or fps deference's?

Thanks!

Zoomie will look at it Im sure Challenge. I'll kick his ass if he doesnt.

Either tonight, or by the end of the weekend. Wink

Me? I can happily turn 'em on, and rage at 'em when they wont work. Thats about my level of knowledge with PC's.

need to make your your mobo can support your new chip.

your power supply can support your new card ! and crossfired additional card.

you don't want it to bottle neck

also make sure have enough ram and cooling on your chips for overclocking if you want to but with a chipset and GPU that you mentioned should be some hot shit !

Ok, before lylow kicks my ass I will have alook for you this weekend.

What sort of cash would you like to spend?

I dont think you need to change your card maybe buying another 6870
would be a cheaper option then getting a new card.

A 2500k would also be a cheaper option than an ivy bridge with no
performance drop.

As I said I shall see what I can come up with. I can also do a $6000 gaming rig
aswell if needed. Grin

Orrr go travelling and see the world :O

You've only got one life, might as well get out there and enjoy it. Your current rig is fine.
