Current Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66Ghz
Ram: Forget Brand, 5124MB DDR2 800
Graphics: HD4850 1GB
Motherboard: Asus P5K-SE
PowerSupply: Coolermaster Stock, i think its 550w. ill check later.
HDD: 3x 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK 2x 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK IN EXTERNAL CASES.

now, problem is, as you can see from my hdd showboating, i need a lot of space, and rather than re formatting windows on a 2tb drive and gettin 2 more of them, i want more SATAII ports. cause it causes less hassle for me, what can you guys reccomend to upgrade to for not too much money <1000.

i know i have a perfectly fine system atm, the problem is, i cant get more sata ports without upgrading to a newer model mobo, which means to get the best run for my money and bang out of a cpu in terms of years. i need a new cpu also, therefore new ram, etc.

1. Don't Need New Hdd's, Graphics, Powersupply, or case.

if you have a spare pci slot you could add a card that has sata 2 ports. although will there be much difference between sata 1 and sata 2 speed.
a card with 2 e sata and 2 sata ports.

nah the sata pci exrtender idea is great, and i will use it, in the short term, while im looking for a generally new pc.

yeah, well i was thinking of a 650, but then i thought, why skimp on price? i can always just save up.

i would rather the core i5 860 but the price is the same as the core i7930
