macros in game

my young fella was watching me play the other day, and watched me mashing my keyboard while in combat !

he said why don't you set up some macros for different situations on this game... i used to in WOW and it made a massive difference..

SO i said thats cheating isn't it ?

when i went into the PVP game he pointed out that a lot of the ppl i was playing against where using macros and its a common thing to do in an MMORPG..

so whats everyones opinion ?


it would be good to do it you could set up and stun attack or a defence attack !

LOL all I can think of is Daley Thompson Decathlon game on the old ZX Spectrum.

You had to batter the fuck out of your key board to make him run. The faster you hit the keys the faster he would run.

I remember the Daley Thompson game!! Sure I lost a couple of those rubber buttons off the keyboard because of it!


Meph we were playing with Maxm last night and he was saying he used G15 macros and everyone does it. There is less skill involved in swtor but more thought than an fps.

I have no problem with setting up the G buttons on my G15 to "buff" me at a single keystroke instead of 4 mouse clicks. I'll take a look at doing it with my keyboard later.
