It was the 13th/14th all along, the article title was just misleading because in it, it says:

They get it because dice said they would get 1943 for free with a bf3 per order but then couldn't deliver it. Typical dice. I think once it's released on ps3 there will be a massive uproar and they will release it early for us. That way it looks like they are doing us a favour.
