Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD (upgradeable to 32GB), and a built-in battery that promises to last for four hours -- and, of course, that 5-inch touchscreen. US$500-US$600 Just plug it into a display.
Well maybe not that innovative it actually reminds me of my Commodore 64!
The most impressive thing to me was how they are going to take the Xbox to dizzying heights with Project Natal (near the end of the keynote) , on demand movies, social networking and new games. Its like they have thought "how can we get a jump ahead of Wii, PS3 and Tivo and somehow link it all to sell more Zune HD and PC's with Windows 7"... "OK, lets throw everything we have at it and make it happen in 2010!" I think I just worked out what I am getting next Xmas.
The communication happens via 802.11n and requires a receiving box hooked up to your TV. Your screen is sent compressed and up/downscaled to 720p, regardless of source resolution. The box is super tiny as it's basically a decoder chip and HDMI output. Press a button on your notebook and within a matter of seconds the notebook will wirelessly send its display over to your TV.
It took a while to boot up but sure looks fast for a portable device in use.
Did you notice the guy has a second thumb!
Intel officially announced the release of its new line of CPUs today with no mention of the i7 930! I wonder what is going on there? It is slated for next month why not announce it with the rest of the huge line up!
I saw Avatar 3D today. That is one cool movie! Wow! Go and see it!
Another cool Android phone with a few twists and innovation.
Some news on Fermi nVidia's answer to AMD/ATI's 5xxx GPU's
" We're hearing that the rumors of a March release are accurate, but despite the delay Fermi is supposed to be very competitive (at least 20% faster than 5870?). The GeForce GTX 265 and 275 will stick around for the first half of the year as Fermi isn't expected to reach such low price/high volume at the start of its life."
So probably not a mainstream choice until late this year.

Don't hold ur breath on Natal working too well. They were supposed to add another chip to the 360 mobo but have scrapped that for a software solution. With Natal using 15% of the CPUs power it's a massive failure, like the 360 has generally been overall. My only question is, where's the next gen of consoles?

I'm guessing MS will do a refresh with a better CPU before Xmas but good point.
