| Just because the metal game cases, the A3 posters, the free t-shirts, the DLC and unlockable add-ons werent enough...... some bright spark decided to write a book. Thats right - Battlefield 3, the novel. Written by best selling author Andy McNab (Bravo-two-zero, and the Nick Stone thriller series), McNab was an SAS combat veteran of the Gulf War and the most decorated member of the regiment upon his retirement in 1994. The book essentially IS the story of the single player campaign. The book isnt based on the campaign, the campaign is based on the book. The storyline was written especially for the game, like so many other games before it, only now it has been released as a stand alone novel. I had literally just this morning finished reading the latest Nick Stone thriller, by McNab. This afternoon, I go to the shops and stumble upon this. Fate. Got my copy for $15 from BigW, lol! Worth a read while stuck in traffic at least! http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-Andy-McNab-Peter-Grimsdale/dp/1455508926/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1320427957&sr=1-1 | |
