Interesting discussion, you wouldn't think that O.C one of AMD's flagship GPUs would be so difficult, let me ask you what power supply you are using? also you know to only oc one part at a time right? O.C the GPU first to get a max before artefacts then turn down the GPD to start finding the limit of the RAM. if your jumping the gun and doing both at the same time there could be problems of you not finding equilibrium properly.

Zoomy was right. Gettin too hot too quick the vrms. Not to worry though im happy with its performance as is

Depends on the card you get. One of my cards OCed to 825/1200 before afrtification, the other could only do 785/1175, even with watercooling.
As soon as I made the thermal pads on the VRM's smaller to allow better airflow around them I could OC much higher with no problems. It took me about 8 months of trial and error to get the cards to OC. Does it make a difference?
